李连杰 and 赵文卓
While the current trend of HK cinema is triad/gangster movies, the early 90s was the time for kung fu / wushu! Whee! Is only recently that I caught Li Lian Jie's old shows on Channel 8. Just now got Dong Fang Bu Bai. Probably watched a bit here and there when younger but had little memory of it. I only remember the DongFangBuBai damn powerful then once she stick her flying needle and thread inside you you siao liao.
On Once Upon a Time in China: The first one was better overall I think in terms of story etc but II had the best fight scenes, featuring two of the highest high hand in the industry. (Donnie Yen.) Maybe you dunno his name, but u see his face confirm know. Got one is in the narrow alley he use long thick rope and whack until the wall spoil. The rest of the movies damn kua zhang and got increasing tendency to overdo it. E.g. keep on use the Fo Shan Wu Ying Jiao to finish off his opponent, do too many times no effect liao.
I remember last time Primary 6 got one Wong Fei Hong drama series, Zhao Wen Zhuo act one. Damn stylo to watch. The finale he died fighting with the Wu Ying Jiao. Like that then got meaning, you chute the special move too many times just cheapens it. Wah, damn huai nian. I think I go and try to find it to watch again. Can remember all the main actors from 鬼脚七 to 猪肉荣 and 十三姨. Dunno what liang kuan and buck tooth su also. I also remember the show quite popular, such that during commercial time got advertisement is play on the bao zhi ling and wong fei hong one. Something about rice? I forgot liao.
Anyways, Below is the stick fighting from Once Upon a Time in China II.
