NUS Students: If you want honours in 3 years

NUS Special Term

The tuition fee for special term is $594 per module. Do the math yourself, if u were originally planning 6 mod per sem then each mod cost for you during normal sem is (5940 / 12) = 495. i.e. cost $99 more per module in special sem.

Now, say u want to complete in 3 years. Assuming u take 6 modules each normal sem, and 4 or 5 modules using the speical term. Like that you will spend $400-$500 bucks more in total, and you save one sem = 4 months. Makes full economic sense, u work at mcdonalds 4 months also earn more than that.

Restrictions:
1. Range of modules offered in special sem: U can definitely fulfill ALL your GEM and breadth requirements from there. But limited range lah. Maybe have to take some shit modules. Core modules very rarely offered in special sem. If got then all is those level-1000 one.
2. Hmm. Harder to get As? I dunno. NUS states that purpose of special term is for students to accelerate. If you gana the class all chao pia one then good luck.
3. No more holidays for you. Happy mugging without break. The special term divided into 2 sems, each 6 weeks.
4. They say can only take max 2 modules each special term. Here.
