An sms was sent to me this afternoon: "Dear Donors, if you have not donated blood in the last 12 weeks, pls come in urgently to donate at the Bloodbank at HSA. Call Red Cross at 62200183 for mroe info." Wah either they seriously short of blood or they adopting the NKF style of soliciting donations. In any case there was an article in The Straits Times last week about how blood supply was running low to "an uncomfortable level", and here the red cross website is also appealing for blood donors to come forward.

Ahhhhhh if you are interested in donating blood, maybe you would have clicked on the website and thought you would go down to HSA and donate right? DON'T NEED SO TROUBLESOME! NUS having blood donation drive next week from Tuesday to Friday! If you are healthy, don't have STDs or AIDS and wondering whether you should do down, let me try to list down some benefits:

-After you donate, will have free snacks and drinks. Biscuits, Milo, as much as you want, so try to go down around lunchtime.
-After you donate, they will put a very bright and eye catching bandage on you saying "blood donor". With that you can walk around school and flaunt to chiobus and haolian.
-Good rehearsal for emergencies where you lose a lot of blood for real, after a few blood donations your body can adapt faster to blood loss. (ok this one not confirm)
-Maybe if they get enough blood we can read proper news in the papers again instead of some bloody no blood story.
-SENSE OF SATISFACTION! MAI XIAO XIAO!
