Hmm...recognize this picture? It's from the movie Big Fish. Yah those are popcorn hanging in the air when time stops (when you see the love of your life). When I first watched it in cinema I had something like a feeling of being cheated. I think this movie is a great litmus test of whether you have lost your childhood. I kept trying to expect some kind of consipracy or subplot or some explanation. But in the end it is something like a fairy tale. A series of beautiful scenes, composed from vivid imagination, and I only realised this on my second watching today when I expected nothing from the movie and watched it like a kid.

Aikido #1
Damn fun / funny. First lesson all the new bird all damn blur and damn cock look at each other monkey see monkey do hahaha. When lesson start the sensei just suddenly run onto the tatami mat and start jumping on the spot without saying a word. Can see question mark over all the white belts liao. I see one girl who trained six years in taekwondo she do until left and right leg confused.

My impression of aikido: si beh graceful can? I see them do front rolling breakfall, I bet the sensei can do on concrete ground with very minimal bruises. Mae ukemi. There's a saying in aikido, if it doesn't look fake then it's not aikido.

Actually one thing I disappointed is the sensei never talk philosophy. Come on man, always see on movie or tv always got some old man with white hair then he tell some very cheem short story then the tu2 di4 got inspiration.

First lesson quite slack lah, the siong part is mentally where you got alot of chance to watch them repeat the technique over and over again but then got alot of different steps very easy to get blur. I'm no a psychomotor genius, so I guess I have to put in extra effort. Now is learning the basic breakfalls to protect yourself plus locking and takedown moves. Next time can whack monkey neo's (from NAM WAH PAI woohoo!) arse.

yay! Looking forward to next lesson. Oh yah xinghao, my one is aikikai aikido. Got quite a few different branches, if you join also please share your experiences thanks.
